Once you have sent your CV and application form, the next step in securing your dream job is the interview.

The interview stage is only reached by those candidates who applied with a strong CV and cover letter.It is likely that the employer advertised for the position in the local press, or online. Some also use head hunters.

Your CV is your first introduction to your potential new employer.Always make sure that your CV is accurate and engaging, as many employers only look at each one for around thirty seconds before moving on to the next.

Your CV states personal details and achievements. At the interview stage the interviewer will want to learn much more about you.The employer will likely ask about the experiences, lessons and accomplishments one has done and learned working for another employer. An interviewer may be interested in learning about how you dealt with certain work situations and how you learned to overcome any problems.

You may also be asked to describe your family relationships, to determine if you are from a stable background.

Questions about your future goals and ambitions allow an interviewer to determine if you are someone who really wants to work, or just along for the ride.

Companies follow a certain budget in hiring qualified personnel which is why the interviewer will ask how much one desires to get for the job.Salaries can often be negotiated, so go in with a figure and have another figure in mind which you would be willing to accept.
When the interviewer has finished with their questions try asking some of your own.

Asking questions gives you the opportunity to learn more about the job and the company.
