More than ever in these times of market downturn, companies all want only the finest people to work for them and they therefore put their employees under greater and greater pressure to excel.
The employees are set goals to achieve. If the staff achieve their first target, they are given a higher target the next time. If goals are not met, then if these are bonus related goals, they can mean that no bonus is given.
Warnings may be handed to employees who do not complete their goals and even where goals are not bonus set, it will affect on their annual review, which in turn will impact their pay increase.
Lots of businesses could be portrayed as cut-throat. They only want the finest employees, so each year they are seeking to remove the worst achievers from their company. The effect this has is that somebody who was once considered an asset to the company at one time, may over the years become a member of staff who only meets goals, then eventually falls short of targets.
All this can become very disheartening. Employees are persistently looking over their shoulders to see what is happening. They feel the need to work longer and longer days in an effort to attain the unattainable. They are worried about taking time off work in case this is seen as lack of dedication and all these factors amount to a very unhappy and unhealthy place of work.
It should come as no shock then that some folk are taking time to reassess their working life. More and more employees are deciding to jump off the hamster wheel and take a change of route. Right now, the decision to Work From Home may be seen as the direction to take.
With the rise in the number of homes with access to a PC, the Internet Business is increasing and this has the knock on effect of making more Online Jobs available. It could be that staff who have decided they would prefer to Work From Home can actually continue the task they were undertaking for a company, but working for themselves from home. If your job was one which in the first few years you loved, what could be better than taking the chance to continue this line of work, but working for yourself, so all targets set are of your own creation.
A means to attain this could be to set up your own Internet Business. This should advise searchers what your company is about and what you can do for them. You have ultimate responsibility for your own contentment. If you are not satisfied with your current job, then opt to do something about it. Look at the options available to you and make your move. Happiness should ensue.
